A showcase,
not the finish line.

Voidline and the public showcase are connected, but they are not the same thing. This page separates the long-term project direction from the current experimental demonstration.

Showcase / Context

The showcase is a snapshot of an idea.

The public repository is an AI-generated concept and experimental demonstration of a possible Voidline experience. It communicates layout, atmosphere, and direction, but it does not represent a finished or production-ready shell.

The project

The real direction

Voidline is intended as a cohesive shell and desktop experience around Hyprland, with Quickshell, Python, Lua, and Rust handling the parts they suit best.

The current state

Experimental and visible

The repository and the video below document the showcase as it currently exists. Features, visuals, and setup steps may still change as the real project develops.

This video was recorded by me and shows the shell showcase in its current experimental state. It provides a more honest view of the working experience than the generated concept image alone.

The current showcase state

The recording demonstrates the shell as it can actually be explored today. It complements the AI-generated concept instead of presenting that concept as a completed implementation.

The shell interface around the wallpaper is an AI-generated concept. It represents the intended atmosphere and design direction, not proof that every visible element is already implemented. The wallpaper itself is original artwork by RealShovelKun.
